The Run Forest, Run! annual signature event is a 10k and 5k road race that starts and ends at Forest Lake Elementary. The course is one of a kind, designed to give runners a beautiful view through the Forest Acres neighborhood while being challenged by hills throughout. The course is certified by the US Track and Field Association and the race is timed and facilitated by Strictly Running. Run Forest, Run! is also part of the Columbia Running Club’s Tour de Columbia, as well as the Blue Cross Blue Shield of SC Running Club race schedule.
In addition to the race itself, the race start-and-finish hub has business-partner booths, food vendors, games, and photo ops area. There is also a 1-mile fun run and various special guests such as the D.A.R.E. car and our friends from Live PD.

Run Forest, Run! is in its 4th year and has been a huge success with both runners and the community as a whole. The race partners with various businesses around the Forest Acres area to create a unique race that runners want to be a part of. In addition to t-shirt and sign recognition, local businesses participated on-site with booths, giving our partners the ability to connect with participants and spectators. Many partners also contributed branded items to add to the runners SWAG bag. The SWAG bag items are a great way to personally connect to the runners and give them something to take home and remind them who makes this run possible.
